FVHS Scrip Fundraising Program
Administered by the Fountain Valley Royal Regiment (FVRR)
 
​What is Scrip?
Scrip is just another term for gift cards. Scrip fundraising is an easy, no-selling program that allows families to raise money for FVHS activities by using gift cards, or scrip, to pay for everyday purchases.

How Scrip Works
Families buy gift cards at face value from the FVHS Scrip Fundraising Program (administered by FVRR), and FVRR purchases the scrip for less than face value.  FVHS/FVRR keeps the difference, and that’s how money is raised.

Rebate Credits
For each card purchased, the rebate credit is calculated (the rebate percentage varies by retailer), and is split 75% to your program or student account, and 25% to FVRR for administration. As an example, for each $100 of Albertson’s scrip purchased, the 4% rebate (or $4) is split $1.00 to FVRR, and $3.00 to your program or student account.

Rebates can add up quickly for regular expenses such as gasoline, groceries, restaurants, home maintenance, entertainment, etc.  Popular retailers include Target, Walmart, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, ARCO, Shell, Starbucks, Albertsons, Stater Bros., Chipotle, Jamba Juice, Kohl’s, and more!

Rebate Credits to Student Accounts
Once you designate FVHS BOYS VOLLEYBALL as your GROUP/PROGRAM, the 75% rebate credit goes directly to your student account to offset annual contributions, tournament fees, equipment costs, transportation, etc. The more scrip you purchase, and the more you can get your family and friends to purchase, the less you will owe in contributions.

When are the Rebate Credits Issued?
Scrip credits are sent to the Booster Club Treasurers once a month.

When Can I Purchase Scrip?
There are a few ways to purchase scrip depending on what is most convenient for you:
  • In person at Scrip-to-Go on Saturday mornings 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Room 310 with cash or check. Scrip-to-Go has a variety of gift cards in stock, and others which can be pre-ordered and picked up the following week. The current order form for the Saturday morning Scrip-to-Go program shows what is generally in stock each week. The complete list of retailers shows everything available for purchase (some of these retailers are regional so make sure you know what you’re purchasing). Stop by Room 310, fill out your form, write your check, get your scrip, and you’re on your way.
  • Online you can purchase scrip several different ways. Options include printing scrip from home, reloading scrip cards you already have, and using an app. More information on this coming soon.
